Collaborate with Viewpoint and your peers by providing us with your input
We currently send material pricing from Estimating out to multiple suppliers for pricing using VPricer. Our vendors have asked if we are able to carry a "bid" price in our database. They ask this due to the number of quotes they are processing each day, they are having trouble keeping up with the volume of quotes requested each day. If we had multiple material unit fields that could be linked to specific suppliers it would speed up our process significantly.
There have been several jobs where we never got pricing back from the vendors for raw materials. If we had these extra material unit fields, we could do price updates and carry current "bid" pricing. This would drastically reduce the number of items sent out per bid and increase our response time from the supply houses.
The "bid" pricing fields would be linked to one of the 9 pricing codes already available in the profile area of the database.
