Collaborate with Viewpoint and your peers by providing us with your input
Our Estimator's use Quick Bid estimating software, when they export their purchasing report, I would like to directly import it into PC. However their material items only have the description of the material, NOT the size. Example: 3-5/8" 25GA DW Stud. They have a separate box for "Size" Example: 10'. They only have to have one material item, but the ability to input unlimited different sizes. In Pro Contractor, I have to enter a new material item for every size/length.
If you are able to add the size field, it would be required to calculate with QTY, UOM and Unit$
Example:
3-5/8" x 25GA DW Stud x 8'
3-5/8" x 25GA DW Stud x 9'
3-5/8" x 25GA DW Stud x 10' - etc, etc, etc........
See attached a copy of my material catalog (ONLY FOR 3-5/8" Metal Studs) If I had a separate size box, I could replace this entire list with about 12 items. This would save countless hours of unnecessary data input and thousands of unnecessary catalog items.
