I have a situation where an invoice was processed at the distribution level in error as it should have been posted to the subcontract. The subcontract committed cost still show as owing when in fact they are not. We can not fix in Adjust invoice because it has been paid to the vendor. You should be able to adjust GL distributions after payment. Locking down the amount and any other fields that should not be changed once payment is made. When I asked PC how to correct, you have to void the payment (mind you this check has cleared the bank), reenter the invoice to distribute to the subcontract, and rerun the payment using the same check number that has already cleared. This leaves a high level of risk for errors in having to reprocess in this manner as well as sloppy booking with this check coming in and out several time in the bank reconciliation process.
