Open customer invoice by customer (by project) reports with billing code distributions that list the open invoice amounts and the retainage to date amounts so the users and application support can find the billing code that needs to be adjusted easily.
Customers and application support are spending a minimum of 1 hours, but sometimes up to 3 hours trying to find which billing code the open invoice amount or held retainage is stored on.
When you go into the adjustment the amounts do not match up which adds to the confusion. WE then have to go through each billing code trying to figure out which one is causing the open invoice or held retainage.
If the project is at the end then the customer usually does not care which billing codes we try, but if the project is ongoing we can cause issue with new billing. In that case, we have to undo the the change and post it. Each posted change creates a new PDF invoice for it and all invoice after. This is adding more steps and time when the report can help customer find what they need without opening support cases as well as help application support find the solution quicker when working with these issues.
