Currently, the three options for masking the Social Security Number on the paycheck are:
1. Payroll Settings - Changing format changes for ALL reports. If a customer needs to print the full SSN on the CPR or Quarterly reports, then this selection has to be changed to 000-00-0000. However, they need to remember to change back so that it does not show the full SSN on the paycheck statements. In some states, such as CA is it required that only the last 4 digits are displayed.
2. Create User-Defined field (UDF) and modify forms Payroll Check and Advice to add UDF. However, the downside is that if any enhancements are made to these forms they do not apply to modified forms.
3. Request custom forms from Professional Services to create Expression to mask SSN comes at a fee
It would be ideal if the "Payroll Settings" had an additional selection to mask the SSN on Paychecks so that Users did not have to toggle back and forth or it was an option the Print Checks & Advices screen
