When a Fringe is set up with a Calculation Method that is not an hourly formula on the Employee record, the fringe will apply costs to all Taxable time card lines. If an employee is paid using a Miscellaneous Pay Class for items such as Vehicle and Cell phone allowance, a portion of the Fringes is costed to the time card line for the allowance thus increasing the allowance cost.
Currently, there are the following alternative solutions:
1. Change Payroll Calculation Method to an hourly formula
2. Create a separate Pay Cycle to pay allowances and not calculate fringes
3. Use Overheard feature
