The text editor will not function properly. It is way to hard to use. Way too many manhours are wasted dealing with it. We cannot send a document generated in ProContractor out of our Office. It is an embarassment. The functionality needs to mimic Word more.

Michael, i agree with Cheryl's comment too. However, she and I are talking about two different issues. She the report builder and I the text editor.
The functionality and formatting of the text editor should mimic Word. I was coing to cut and paste an example but wouldnt allow it. The text should be able to be entered and formatted in the ProContractor and ProContractor Estimating App. As a work around we sometimes generate the text in Word then cut and paste into ProContractor. When this "cut and paste " is entered into ProContractor the formatting is lost. By formatting I mean layout, spacing, grouping (lists), fonts, bold, underline, highlighting, etc. This is not an issue when it is something simple, but when it is complex, we sometimes generate a pdf and edit from there. There should be a spell check and grammer verification too (most people need that crutch nowadays). The text editor is also completely unusable when ProContractor is scaled.
Even this form submission applet accepts fromatting from Word, as seen below:
Word document
This is BOLD.
This is underlined.
This is highlighted.
To restate, the functionality and formatting of the text editor in ProContractor and ProContractor Estimating should mimic Word.
Thanks for reaching out Michael, you are the first person with ProContractor to contact me concerning this in the 5 years I've been advocating this.
William,
Can you give me a few specific examples, please?
Thanks!
I have to agree. I spend hours taking reports, exporting them to excel, and recreating usable reports that are easy to read. Reports in a tabular are much more usable than what is currently created by the program. This has been a problem since we started using the program in 2017 and nothing has ever changed.
