Collaborate with Viewpoint and your peers by providing us with your input
After an employee had been on disability for sometime, he came back to work last week. I entered his information back into the import spreadsheet template when entering time. I wasn't aware he was still inactive in the system and I didn't recognize this until I happened to look at his employee record before posting payroll. When I went to pull up his timecard (after import), it wouldn't allow me to see it. I got an alert that the employee was inactive at that point. When we reactivated him and I went back to his timecard entry screen, his information appeared and I didn't have to reenter anything. I didn't get an error message when importing the timecard template and all of our reconciliations were adding up correctly. I'm not sure if he would have been paid if he is inactive since it seems like things were happening behind the scenes, even if he was considered "inactive". I suggest an error message at import to ensure no problems with getting employees paid.
