rrEEmployee increases are noted in the Pay Status Change Reason Date and Memo box as they are effective, not the beginning of the pay period. Currently, we get an error message when importing time files for active employees who have had a Pay Status Change in the pay period. We need the Status change dates to be accurate because we use those when completing Verification of Employment forms from various vendors such as mortgage companies. Restricting the Pay Status Change Date on Terminated and Voluntarily Quit statuses makes sense. It does NOT make sense for active Employees, and hinders our work and accuracy of data. Error reads: "Date worked is not valid, either Employee never been active or inactive currently". Totally inaccurate when changes are for Active Employees and very frustrating for us to work around, not to mention labor intensive and we must make lists of Pay Status Changes that we need to go back and update in the system after the pay period. Makes no sense why you restricted all Pay Status changes.
