Collaborate with Viewpoint and your peers by providing us with your input
There is a whole lot of empty real estate on the Customer (and Vendor) General tab that could be partially utilized by having both the Main address and the Ship-to addresses visible at the same time. Having to use the drop down menu to view the other addresses seems superfluous.

You are correct, in addition to the time wasted changing from one to the other if you need to make a change. Seems to me with all the open area on the screen, they could have both show on the screen at the same time.
