Currently, what a customer has paid on an invoice is shown only as one lump sum total amount and does not show any detail which can be important for determining if a customer is delinquent in their payment agreement. The only way to show payment detail now is to enter payments as a credit memo but that, of course, creates other problems.

In American Contractor, when printing customer statements, you can select the "Balance Forward" option and it will show payment history against a balance forward amount.
Here is a screen shot of the detail section:

It would be good to have this option and to also be able to go back to the start of the job and show all payments and credits detail to arrive at the balance due.
I totally support your suggestion.
