Are you trying to accrue the full PTO the employee earns in their first payroll check? for example, I have worked for the company for 4 years and currently are receiving 80 hours of vacation. Everyone gets 80 hours as soon as they are hired in the company. When I hit my 5 year anniversary I will start getting 120 hours of vacation time. That is the max amount of vacation time my company allows. You could have the system accrue all the hours on the first payroll check by setting the full amount of the hours they earn in the weekly amount. WARNING with this method if you are accruing to the GL then the projects in the beginning of the year would be hit with all the expense from the PTO. I would set the Create General Ledger Accrual Entry set to No. See the attached document for setup help using my example. If this does meet your needs please let us know. If it doesn't meet your needs please give me more details. Thanks!

We go by anniversary of hire, but I agree, you need to have the ability to say for every year the person is in your employ, the get so many days of paid time off.
We do it the same way.
We give PTO at their start date and it would be nice to have a PTO code that was yearly instead of the F - Flat rate per check code. True calendar year or anniversary date code.
