If I make an entry mistake in a field, a lot of the time, the program just blanks it out and goes on to the next field. If I notice it at that time I have to go back to the field and reenter the (correct) value. If I don't notice, when I go to the next line, I'll get an error that the field value is required so then I have to go back and fix it. If a value is rejected by the program, the focus should stay on the field. This doesn't mean that the program should not allow moving on if the user wants to fill it in later, but if should give the option to fix it entry without having to backtrack. I've selected Payroll as the category for this idea but it actually is across all modules.
