If System Settings have been set to auto assign numbers "yes", then when adding a customer, vendor, employee etc, the auto assign should be populated with Yes. The user should not need to change the setting each time. You can't even set the default customer, vendor etc to Yes and therefore when importing customers or vendors etc, it does not respect the auto assign setting.
