The payroll check stub combines random tax withholding when it runs out of room (limit of 7 items). The combination is called "other". It is unacceptable to take money out of an employee's pay and not make it clear to them what the deduction is for. If more lines cannot be displayed, there are certain existing lines that should just be combined to free up space. FICA-SS and FICA-MED should be combined and captioned FICA/MED. In New Jersey, NJSUI and NJ SDI should be combined and captioned NJ UI/DI. I long ago brought this situation to the attention of Viewpoint personnel, but nothing has been done about it.
