It is very confusing that taxable fringe benefits are not included in total wages but are included in taxable wages. This would make completing quarterly payroll reports much easier. Also would be easier to train someone else to complete these reports. It doesn't make sense that taxable fringe benefits are not in total wages.

This continues to be a problem during 401(k) and union audits. If a fringe benefit is taxable, it should be included as part of earnings in payroll reports. It is earnings and prints as earnings on W-2s. It should be earnings on all reports. Please fix this problem! We spent a lot of time modifying data with Excel because taxable earnings are excluded from multiple reports in payroll
