It's difficult to go "paperless" if items, like contracts, are in job/customer binders but can be deleted by anyone.

Now that security has been added to binder items in the latest release, how will this affect the ability to add binder items and updating binder items?
This functionality has been released in the 3.13 release available June 20th, 2019. Cloud customers will automatically be upgraded the weekends of June 22nd and June 29th.
For an overview of the review check out the release video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mjwj9MA7KRY
I apologize - I searched for Binder Item security but this did not show up, so I inputted a new suggestion - but since this is in development maybe you can add this as well:
Would be very helpful if we had the ability to add security to Binder Item Types.
Maybe add another tab in the USER GROUP or USER forms to select which binder item type they have the ability to see. That way we can give users access to a screen but limit their ability on which binder items they are able to open. For example. My mechanic has access to Equipment but I really don't like the idea of them being able to view the purchasing documentation and loan information I upload to the piece of equipment. I'm sure this would be beneficial in Employees as well.
Jenny,
In Review indicates that the Product Manager is reviewing the request and is also engaging the development team to determine complexity, risk, and effort. The Product Manager will then use that information along with additional customer feedback to determine the priority of the item in relation to the other software requests.
What is the status of 'In Review'?
Obviously, you are aware of the issue as this is listed on your Knowledge Base:
How to setup security on the Binder tab
There also is not a way to set security on who can access individual documents or attachments in the binder tab at this time - If you would like to see this feature added to the binders tab, you will need to log into the clearview.viewpoint.com site and enter the enhancement there - our developers review these and if other customers are requesting the same enhancement they will consider the change in a future version of ProContractor.
This is a big deal. We are storing files (drawings, specs, addenda, contracts, submittals, etc.) on the server,as well as, posting them into the software. This program feature is not very beneficial without the ability to prevent erroneous deletion of binder items. It is one of the reasons that we are considering looking at other software applications for project documents.
It would be helpful that invoices in approving invoices would also go to the project so if project manager need to go back to look at that invoice they would have it.
