We desperately need the system to calculate the weighted average for overtime when multiple pay rates exist during the week. A substantial portion of our workforce will have multiple pay rates during any one week, and per DOL regs, we need to pay a weighted OT rate. We import the time from our time-keeping app but still need to manually calculate the overtime rate for each week, then manually key the correct OT rate on each applicable timecard line. It would save us a huge amount of time each payroll if the system would automatically calculate the weighted OT rate.

As of Version 4.0, this is now a feature. Knowledge based article named Does ProContractor calculate and pay Weighted Overtime or blended Average? to be updated soon with more details
This is an absolute requirement in California, and the weighted average calculation for overtime when multiple pay rates exist during the given week should be supported via the software. Not doing so is creating liability for all California contractors.
Weighted Overtime should be part of this program to stay in compliance with government laws and regulations. ProContractor is falling short in this area and putting their customers at risk for not having this option. I am currently under audit and have been asked why we our software does not calculate weighted overtime. This is a big void that is being left open and is cause to find a software that can handle Weighted Overtime.
Hello, we are begging you to update the employee payroll system to calculate the weighted average overtime for multiple pays required in 1 days work. This is part of the State of California requirements to stay in compliance. We rely on Procontractor to improve our position to thrive and succeed. It would be fact and not a myth for us to reach out to other single software firms to reach this goal to have the system work as needed to stay in compliance and as it was said this morning, it is expensive. This has costed us millions of dollars by the system not able to calculate the weighted average overtime. This is a major part of your customers thriving and succeeding and not left behind because the software does not provide the tools need to stay in compliance. Fees and penalties are higher than the cost of change. thank you
i too need this. A fellow contractor got fined by the state labor board for not doing this with prevailing wage o/t. and it didn't matter how many times he had overpaid his people according to the blended average, he still got fined per each incident where he underpaid on the prevailing wage overtime.
