The new TCI template requires equipment usage to be inputted on a separate tab. Not only does this require inputting data on two separate sheets, the Equipment Usage tab links to the Distribution tab by employee and Distribution Line number. The distribution line is the only link to the Distribution tab and is not intuitive to remember from one tab to the other. if the wrong line is used, equipment will be coded to the wrong job. This may work for a few equipment items per payroll but is too tedious for hundreds of entries each pay cycle. The new template requires all equipment to be entered manually and makes it much harder(I haven't figured it out yet) to input reoccurring equipment. The old system allowed the equipment to be inputted on the same line as the rest of the time card data. Sure it was limited to two pieces, but you could copy an additional line for extra equipment. Also, the old format made reoccurring equipment entries easy, not so for the new template.
