Sales and Use tax is an uneditable field once a purchase order is 30 days old. That doesn't make sense because the time when you realize sales/use tax is incorrect is when you are running the report and paying sales/use tax. That happens on the 20th of the following month. This is silly because until an invoice is entered purchase orders themselves don't cause accounting entries... so why should they be uneditable when they;re old?

I don't need you to change this right away per se but understand that having this this way means that i can't use your sales/use tax report. I have to modify it outside of the system because the system is prematurely locking up fields in purchase orders that it shouldnt be.

  For now I continue to download the sales/use tax report into excel and make edits that way. It's a shame that I can't make the edits in the invoices/POs themselves in the program but not the end of the world.
