This is to report a design deficiency/bug rather to solicit votes from other customers, as it's doubtful they would see any value in this request.
We need to import timecard rates to 5 decimal places which are back calculated form our 3rd party payroll system, so we can recalculate employee earnings to the cent in PCMX for labor cost reporting. The PCMX and our payroll system journal entries then balance.
In the database, all timecard rates are defined as Decimal (10,5), i.e. with 5 decimal places. The timecard data entry screens therefore allow the entry of rates to 5 decimal places. However, the timecard import procedure rounds rates to 2 decimal places, unless you also enter the Work Location, which is completely counter-intuitive. Nobody at Viewpoint is able to explain why entering Work Location prevents the rounding of rates to 2 decimal places.
This should be a simple fix for a minor release.
