I am basing this off of a different earthwork program, but it was a nice feature. It would be nice to be able to select a line, but in the process of selecting the line, you are also selecting a point on the line. Then by hitting a hot key, you could delete this point essentially splitting the line it two. Or after the point is selected, you move your mouse to where you want that point to move, and again hit a certain hot key and it automatically changes the North & East of that point. It would save time by not needing to open up the window and selecting all of the points until you find the one you are looking for and then deleting the point or switching to the Coordinates and manually entering in where you want to move the point to. You would probably need a "Compress" function as well, to get rid of multiple points based on a predetermined length, especially if the line was entered using the trace command.
