We have multiple estimators creating items in the catalog, including various cost items of all types,  list assemblies. and visual assemblies.  It is inevitable that redundant entries are created.  Deleting these redundant cost items or list assemblies is problematic. The program will stop you and warn you if the cost item or list assembly is a member of another assembly elsewhere in the catalog.  This is good, but it never tells you which assemblies are affected.  If you go ahead and delete the item, it will simply disappear from any assembly that contains it, negating all the work done to create the assembly in the first place, or at least making the assembly inaccurate or incomplete.  We desperately need a way to be able to take a given cost item's reference number and find all other list assemblies or visual assemblies that contain that item.  Then we would at least be able to replace the item in each assembly and then remove the redundant item.  Better yet would be a way to globally replace that item or assembly throughout the catalog based on the search results.  As it stands, I cannot "clean up" our catalog by removing redundant cost items without searching by hand though thousands of list assemblies for the specific item I need to delete.  The time it takes for each item is enormous.  I would think that some search routine would be relatively simple to come up with.  If such capability already exists, please let me know.  Previous inquiries have not resulted in a solution.
