Collaborate with Viewpoint and your peers by providing us with your input
This is a 2 part issue, but the same problem over all.
First the Bid Number, once entered ( and job is saved ) can not be modified. A simple numbering issue causes big issues down the road, forcing you to copy bid and rename it correctly. Once you correct that then you have to delete the wrong stuff not as easy as it sounds. The worse part is that your actual take off ( DTO - and drawings ) do not transfer when you copy, so now you have to go to another place to copy the take off quantities only not plans and DTO. So if the bid turns into a project oh well. Second The same is true for the Estimate Job name. As well we use this feature as a file path for certain bids/ customers.
We just need an easier solution for renaming the Bid Number and or the Estimate Job Name correctly.
