Collaborate with Viewpoint and your peers by providing us with your input
I started working on a new estimate and created a new bid, began filling out the bid information, and continued on to the catalog and takeoffs. I did not click save bid at the beginning and unbeknownst to me, my coworker also created and saved a new bid with the same bid ID number that I had entered. When I was finished with my estimate, I went to save it and was prompted that bid ID was already in use, and I need to select a new bid ID. This normally wouldn't be a big deal, the problem is that when this error happens, the bid ID field is disabled and therefore you can't save your bid under a new bid ID and you are forced to lose all your work. In a perfect world where everyone is following all of the steps exactly all the time, this wouldn't be an issue, but we are human and this stuff tends to happen. In my mind, this is a critical bug/enhancement request; this is not a suggestion. I know everyone thinks their problem is the top priority, but this forced me to lose hours of work and is not a localized problem; anyone that uses the estimating module can have this happen to them and potentially lose even more time and effort invested in a project. I realize this still may not be the highest priority, but please treat it as high priority, if possible.
