Streamlining importing plans - major space consumption issue

Currently ProContractor Earthwork, imports a series of plans from a single PDF file.  Additionally, when the imported files are converted to color, PC Earthwork drastically increases the files size.

The main issue is space consumption.  Factor, if the Earthwork user (estimating team) have 5 estimators all doing 5 to 6 earthwork estimates per day x 5 days x 50 weeks and an average takeoff creates 60 MB per plan x 20 plans = 9 TB per year.

That's a significant space consumption.  Something I'm sure other users are struggling with.

We attempted to use the AIM Tool, we've found the AIM Tool prohibitively long winded and not something we are open to consider.

Hi Michael, Thanks for the response.  It is the converted files that is causing this issue.

To be clear which files are we referring to what are bloated or too large? The converted file or the imported PDF?

I strongly agree and any enhancements that can be made to improve the speed of the estimate is needed.
