We have a CMR status of requested that does not update any budgets or contract amounts to send out for approval. We either have to make up dummy cost codes and billing codes to save the CMR or create new ones that may end up not being used. If you use the generate mark up method and create new lines to itemize on the form for the customer, you might have 5 or 6 lines that require both codes for each line item. Cost and Billing codes are not needed until the CMR is approved and you are updating budget/contract.
