It would be helpful to have the ability to change the status of a document to closed without having to open the document and add a comment on the document activity tab. or at least add additional filtering options. Currently the option of Open or Closed or All are the only choices.

This would indeed be a great time saving feature. The same is true for changing due dates. We spend a lot of time managing due dates, particularly in submittals. It would be much faster to change them from project document logs rather than clicking each one.
This would be a nice feature across the system. For example on routing distributions for DFR and invoice approvals. Takes a lot of time to open all documents. A grid view can be set up to view pertinent information and you could change the document status and routing status without having to open the document would save a lot of time and be much more efficient.
