Collaborate with Viewpoint and your peers by providing us with your input
To expand upon an earlier suggestion (Import Credit Card Transactions as Invoices), we would like to see an API that would allow us to add invoices automatically without having to do a manual import (assuming such a feature is available at some point). A/P is one of the most commonly automated business functions, and yet PCMX is the woefully lacking in this area. We are interested in a very sophisticated invoice approval workflow product which can gather all the metadata required to create an invoice, and yet there is no means to do this automatically in PCMX and the process efficiency breaks down with having to produce a paper copy of the invoice so we can manually enter it. An API would allow us to automate the invoice creation using this product. We also have a number of Excel macros that create invoice lines for various reasons (e.g. Telco's, credit cards, etc). These macros determine the users' A/P Invoice Distribution Lines grid settings so we paste the invoice details into the correct columns. This eliminates almost all manual data entry, but an API would be a more elegant and seamless solution and eliminate manual invoice data entry entirely.
