It would be very useful if the program had a more open source approach to its programming allowing users to create/utilize custom integrations with the software. Today's technology makes the use of integrations highly beneficial in saving "clicks" and helps in avoiding data errors.

Here are few ideas of how useful integrations would work:

- Allowing an API for digital signature (such as DocuSign, or Adobe Sign) so contracts/subcontracts can immediately be sent for an authorized Certificate Authority backed electronic signature

- Allowing project documents to populate/drop into cloud storage services (Box, DropBox, etc.) for mobile content management and sharing

- AP integration for submission of invoices from vendors, reducing AP data entry time

- Compliance integration allowing insurers to auto-upload compliance documents and dates

There is so much we can do with integrations and so much added value to the product. Ultimately the program has a value add because of its seamless integrations with products that perform their best for different functions besides construction accounting and project management. Integrations also reduce the number of points that employees have to utilize to complete a work flow. This reduction in steps for work flow allows a company to spend less on human capital for data entry and reinvest on business intelligence (data analytics).

This is similar to idea PC-I-38 where they requested an A/P API.
