Maxwell accounting system did this and it is a pain to have to collate 4 copies of one employees W2. Pro Contractor was suppose to be an upgrade from Maxwell and most software prints all 4 employee W2 copies on ONE PAGE! Also Maxwell provides a electronic file to send in W2's to federal government and/or states - but Pro Contractor forces us to purchase Green Shades to file electronically.

Thank you for your suggestion. We will keep this for the 4-up W-2 format for ProContractor. As of 2010, both the American Contractor and Management Suite systems began to offer Greenshades as an electronic filing solution, as both products communicated that future development in the electronic filing area would not be supported. Current formats could be used, but for any changes or new formats required, Greenshades was the new solution.

With the 3.14 release, this capability is available within the Aatrix integration within ProContractor. Aatrix is available free of charge to all customers to print out the year end regulatory reports and forms. Aatrix also supports e-filling and printing and mailing year end forms to employees for additional fees. For more information visit: https://partner.aatrix.com/procontractor
This is really a privacy/security issue when all the parts are on the same sheet NO Chance of miss-collating the forms. Unfortunately I had two envelopes that had 3 sheets for Employee "A" and one sheet for employee "B" Please if offering only one format, make it the four up style.
I agree, It appears as though they don't want to bother having to create the report format that would work with the 4 up format. The standard answer seems to be we partnered with Greenshades for the payroll stuff. We pay enough maintenance costs per year that this should be included. Can't seem to wrap my head around the high cost of this software for 2 yearly upgrades and support. Our company doesn't want to pay a 3rd party to get reports for quarterly reports when the data is there and Viewpoint just is to lazy to furnish
So much yes for this. I used Streetsmarts through most of the 2000-2010 and this was their standard. You purchased a blank single page form that the software printed all copies of the W-2 on a single perforated form - format and all. There were no alignment headaches. I cannot think of a single reason that ProContractor does it this way other than to promote the sale of more form stock. StreetSmarts also created the electronic file as a part of the base software - this was all before Maxwell was purchased by Viewpoint
