Would like ability to reprint copies of Payroll Advises/Checks

Why is it useful, who would benefit from it, how should it work?

I am currently saving a PDF of all checks and check stubs, and placing a copy into each employees binder.  However, this is very time consuming, and I was specifically told that this program had the ability to reprint these stubs if needed when we purchased the software, so I will be very happy when this feature is implemented.

until this rolls us Save Checks and advices as PDF.   We are doing this religiously just in case someone needs their info.

I would suggest adding another tab to the Employee screen that will show ALL pay stubs and from there they can print the selected ones.  That would be the easiest for the end user.  It would be beneficial because right now, I am bogging my database down with unnecessary PDF files in the employee binders when all the information is already in the system just need the ability to review it.  Not to mention in Construction, we get requests to reprint paystubs about once a week.

For the new tab - I would like to see in a list format with the following information:

Check #, Check Date, Pay Period Ending Date, Net Pay, total hours

Then we double click on the check we want and it pulls up the paystub in a report type form that we can print, email, save as a PDF, etc.

"LIKELY"??  Come on, this (again) is a very basic need for any payroll system!  If you had not used up a full sheet for the paycheck we would have a stub for our files.  I have to print an extra copy on plain paper so I have a copy of their checks/advices for any future use.   Computer programs are supposed to facilitate the users, not make things difficult.  Somehow your programmers/planners have managed the latter condition quite nicely...just saying.

I still agree this is highly valuable and important, however wanted to give everyone our work around.  We save all the check and direct deposit advises as a PDF then use Advance Image Manager to import each pay-stub to the employees binder.  Not ideal but it has gotten us through not having this valuable feature.

I also would like to add that I am shocked and very disappointed that this program cannot do this.  I never asked about it during demo, because this is something that I would expect to get from any software.  Even simple accounting programs have this ability.

This is important because often employees need copies of their pay stubs in order to get a loan.  If they have lost them, they need the ability to be able to get a copy from their employer.

I agree with Chris.  I have had several employees who need stubs for banks and other financial institutions.  It is a nightmare trying to produce documents they will accept.

Or maybe have it so the system auto saves in the Employee's binder.

I don't always remember to save the payroll checks to a PDF, so it would a great enhancement if a re-print feature were added.  When printing an earnings history or earnings statement, it looks like anyone could've typed it, and most financial institutions won't accept unless accompanied by a letter on letterhead.

Banks always want check stubs as back up of income when someone is getting a personal loan.  I can print out an earnings report with the same information, but the banks always seem to want the actual check stubs/direct deposit notices as back up.  Most of my employees don't keep copies of these.

Would be beneficial to those of us users who have employees who lose there stubs.
