We now have a Knowledge-based article named "Masking Employee Social Security numbers on Paycheck Earnings Statements to display last 4 numbers" that has directions on setting up something similar that would work for you.
ProContractor has 4 options for the Social Security Number format:
The format can be changed under Employees > Setup > General > "Payroll Settings" HOWEVER, the format will show on all reports so if you only want to run a list, change the format to display 4 ending numbers, run/print/export the report as needed then change it back. Alternatively, a User Defined Field can be set up so that when you View Employee Setups, you can create a list with the UDF in the format you want
