W-2 use the address on the last file at 12/31 so if an employee updates their address after 12/31 they are not getting their W-2 and the W-2 submitted to the IRS have incorrect addresses.

Michael, not everyone is using Aatrix. Several of us are using greenshades. Greenshades should pull from the employee file as well. We should not be entering information in 3 or 4 different places and have to audit each of those places in order to ensure that W-2s are correct and the employee files are correct should the employee be rehired or we need to contact them. The extra steps are wasting our time.

Michael, this is still an issue, not everyone is using Aatrix and it doesn't make sense that if wouldn't pull the most up to date information from the employee file, regardless of what report you are using.

when using Aatrix it will pull the current address on the employee record

This was a problem for several of our old employees this year. I am not sure why it doesn't update to the W-2 when the employee file is updated.

This is beyond stupid. If you update the employee record, the data for the w2 should be updated as well.
