When a report is exported to an Excel spreadsheet, it looks exactly the same as a printed report The value of the spreadsheet, however, is diminished greatly because the data values are not columnized (is that a word?). Many of the resulting Excel columns contain multiple field values which makes it virtually impossible to manipulate the figures without first sorting and reformatting the spreadsheet, moving cells, rows and columns so that fields have their own columns. It is quite time-consuming.
I have also tried the csv export which turns out to be even more confusing because every label in the report is included as a "value". It makes it very difficult to discern what values are for which label.
It wouldn't look as "pretty" but would be so much more usable, if the export resulted in a standard table of headers for field names and rows for field values.
p.s. I had to choose a category for this suggestion from the drop-down list so I randomly selected "AR" since "Program-Wide" is not a choice.

How many years will it take for this issue to be addressed?

Please fix this issue, when a report is exported to excel, it's unless without a lot of manipulation which takes a lot of time.
Please fix this soon. This is ridiculous. There needs to be an option to export data only into excel. And when it is exported it needs to be in a strict row and column structure. So many of these reports are have multiple sub rows that should just be columns in an excel format. It takes a lot of time to move these manually to columns. We are new to Procontractor, but in reading the suggestions, it seems like nothing ever gets fixed. Most of the suggestions are years old and they seem like common sense things that a program that costs as much as Procontractor would have. We have been using the program for only four months, and are still learning how to use the program. There are some good features that do save us time over our previous software, but there are so many things that seem so behind the times especially for the price that we pay, and the reporting is probably at the top of the list.
Many reports are stacking fields so it is nearly impossible to massage it back to one row per record.
You are right. Even exporting something as simple as a general ledge transaction report is time consuming since it merges columns. This is way to time consuming.. In Managment Suite, if you exported it export correctly. Another failure on the programming of this sofware.
