(I hope this isn't too much of a rant.) For the sake of transparency, this Suggestion Box should be available to potential customers of PC. If we had been given this resource when making our decision about this software, I'm not sure if we would have come to the same conclusion. But of course, that wouldn't be exactly exciting for the sales folk. There are so many questions that I didn't even know needed to be asked during the evaluation process and from the "Suggestions" and comments herein, it appears that I am not the only one. So many features we had in American Contractor (and other software) are absent from PC and I just don't understand why when their value is so obvious to the users.

In response to the need for a place to ask questions and get answers - the Viewpoint Community Answers forum was launched in December. The December newsletter contained information about access. I have included some additional information here.

I am beyond disappointed my company was sold on this software.
If I knew what I know now.....I would never recommend PCMX.
We just signed up and started the training. We are a Canadian Trade Contractor who previously worked in the Vista package. When I was in the sales pitch mode I asked repeatedly for Trade contractor references and was never given any. I can now understand why. The system does look promising and we signed for multiple years so are hoping the service delivers on what was promised. Current disappointments are single prospect for bids (we are a trade contractor and bid to multiple GC's on bid day), no real forecasting module that allows our PM's to monthly adjust the cost to complete without creating internal CO's, system looks comprehensive but the suggestion box tells me I will be disappointed.
Clearly this will NEVER happen!
I just created a Facebook page - "Procontractor User Help"
I hope its ok to use the Procontractor name - if not I can change it to something else.
I agree, had we know then what we know now we WOULD NOT have purchased this software. I also agree that it would be great to have the ability to ask other users directly how they have solved questions we have for making life simpler. If anyone starts a group that where we can all help each other, please let me know.
I know that given the information that we now have about the software we would most likely be using something different or at the least still be looking.
I agree, I'd also like to have a place to communicate with other users to learn tips & tricks. I think a lot of our minor problems could be answered by other users. I feel like we should start a Facebook group so we can all communicate, ask questions, rant etc! (even though I don't like facebook)
