Currently, we have 3 different companies with 5 different divisions (including the default overhead).  We have specific employees that have access to specific divisions.  Some of our builders will send us 1 contract for the 4 difference divisions and in order to give each division their own job costing, etc. - we create a master project that is set to overhead as the division and each employee has access to overhead in that company so they are able to pull that master project to their sub-projects (which works great).  However, we recently started a construction management divisions that builds new homes for a customer.  So we have another division that sets up a project as overhead (so the other divisions can assign it to their sub-projects) however in this master is where we do all the billings AS WELL as have the cost codes for other costs and those costs codes are assigned to the 'GC' division.  But our employees do not have access to the 'GC' division because they work for the other divisions and should not have access to that division.  So, once we had a cost code to the master project that has a division that the user does not have access to, they can no longer see that project to add the master to their sub-project.  This needs to be addressed, they should be able to see the project in the list because they have access to overhead and overhead is the division that is set up in the general tab of the project.  The way PC is set up now, i would have to give all my users access to GC for them to see this project and that is a security risk because they have access to their own division.
