Controller or Payroll Clerk that may need more auditing will find this helpful. A list of all Pay Classes with Expiration dates and the employees that use it, will be great for tracking and verification purposes.

Thinking trade/union could be a filter or tier level in the report along with pay class. Utility in reporting by pay class on a report similar to payroll hours & earnings would be to summarize/report hours worked in a particular pay class, vacation hours, time off, etc.

The pay class set up has an effective date, so there is not a defined expiration date for the current record of rates, deductions, fringes, etc that apply. Under View Employee set up, there is a Pay Class Pay Rates view that provides the trade/union and pay class with the payrates. Please let me know if this is the kind of information you are looking for.
Where I see we have a gap is a report, possibly like the Payroll Hours and Earnings History, to run historically to track hours (per Quentin's comment). Is this a report that would show information based on trade/union + pay class or are you thinking pay class only, across trade/unions?

Would like ability to filter report in historical employee records so that we can track hours by a selected/chosen pay class.
