This has probably happened to us close to the ten times and it's just too easy to make this mistake that causes the problem. If one accidently types in a Customer or T&M invoice number that is long, from then on the system tells us we have to use a number greater than that one. i.e. If one enters a date for the invoice number like "20150801" the system says we have to use a number larger than that. Each time we've had to involve the Tech Experts to get in there so we can once again use 5 digit numbers instead of 8+ digit numbers. I've asked and asked and asked for the "Next Customer Invoice Number" field in Administration\Company to allow a REAL change instead of just larger numbers (which isn't helpful at all) but even though in a couple of release notes including the most recent it says that it now can reset the numbers, IT DOESN'T ALLOW IT. Anyway, as I'm sure you can tell by this rant, I'm a bit ticked. All that said,I am once again requesting that we users be allowed to reset invoice numbers. American Contractor did, why can't ProContractor?
