In American Contractor, they had a report 941 Fill In Report that produced automatically and was ready to mail in to IRS already completed on IRS 941 FORMAT. This was a real time saver.

We have been using the Aatrix integration and it is set up very nice. It has eliminated the need for keying anything as it relates to most of our payroll tax reporting needs. No keying and they electronically file it for you has made this a very efficient process for us. Also having everything archived online makes it extremely easy to resend copies of employees W2s that have misplaced them when they need to file their taxes or need a copy while applying for loans.
Our newest third party integration, Aatrix fills this need. For more information on Aatrix, please review our knowledge-based articles
I also switched from Maxwell, actually forced to since they were no longer going to service it. I am continuously disappointed with the reports. Not just the tax issues but we work in multi states and lay off men constantly. There is NO report we can run that shows what State they were working in with the breakdowns we need for reporting to the states. I also need the number of employees that worked on the 12th of the month for several reports and there are none. But the most difficult to work with and largest disappointment is the JOB REPORTS. In construction you constantly need reports for completed projects, non completed projects, largest project, most current, etc. Because there isn't a contract value only an SOV used to generate reports there are NOT ANY that we can use for our required prequalifications. We need reports with the contract value and Customer/Owner/Architect, completion time. I have expressed my disappointment but no changes have been made. There are programs out there with sort functions that we could switch to but we have already invested and chosen Procontractor. Frankly we are not viewpoints largest accounts so they aren't going to spend money to upgrade our systems.
Jacqueline,
I understand it has been a point of frustration for awhile for many customers. I am relatively new to Viewpoint and overseeing ProContractor. I do tno have insight as to the past, all I can provide insight on is what is currently being evaluated and worked on.
Appreciate the feedback.
Michael
Michael,
We have been using ProContractor since 2011 (in its infancy) and we are still waiting for someone to deliver the tax reporting capabilities.
"… not able to deliver that in time for this reporting period." is a very misleading statement as it has been 8 years.

I understand the frustration regarding the tax reporting. We are actively working on some solutions that will provide additional capabilities. Unfortunately we were not able to deliver that in time for this reporting period.
Michael, we are in our second of year of using ProContractor. Our transition was from Management Suites. I am very disappointed with ProContractor in many areas. I thought from the demo it would be much better but the more I use it the more I regret the change. There are some things that are much better but the bad out weighs the good.
I feel like I’ve gone backwards twenty years with the capability of these reports.

New user to ProContractor and I working on the 1st Quarterly Reports for PR. Very disappointed that there is not a filled in form for the 941 and Schedule B. Hope that this report will move up on the list of things to be implemented.
Yes, the lack of Form 941, Form 940 and 4-up W-2's are profound disappointments in software that was promised to be better than Maxwell Management Suite. So you have to pay extra for a Greenshades interface, and when you have a Greenshades support question, Greenshades won't speak with you and pushes you back to Viewpoint. But then your question results in Viewpoint contacting Greenshades to get an answer, which drives me crazy. As long as Viewpoint is using the Greenshades interface, "Likely but not yet planned" will really mean "not planned". I just knew that Bain Capital would ultimately sell Viewpoint, and now that this has happened, we can only hope for a better experience with Trimble.
