Ability to change the screen font size just for ProContractor, not Windows.

It would make my life a lot easier if I could increase the screen font size within ProContractor. Perhaps even selectively depending on its usage. There is so much blank space on many of the ProContractor screens that it seems it would be beneficial to use some of it to make it easier for those of us with ageing eyes to be able to see the text. Currently the font seems to be about 8pt which is tinier than just about any other program I have. I tried changing the screen font size in my Windows settings but two downsides are 1) it made my Windows screen fonts too big and 2) within ProContractor many fields became only partially visible.

Windows 10 provides some screen resolution and screen magnification tools that will help with the sizing.
Changing the screen scaling above 100% will increase size. Depending on the size monitor you are using, scroll bars may or may not appear. For example, using a 23" monitor, running at 125% the full screen was visible. When running at higher scale factor, a scroll bar may appear, but if you hide the title bar (<F11>) at the top of the window, the entire screen may display.

Windows 10 also has a magnification tool (Magnifier - found in Windows Ease of Access Center). This tool has a full screen mode, where the entire screen is magnified (above your current screen resolution). This tool is not for everyone, but some may find beneficial.

We will not implement a project to change the overall font sizing within the ProContractor application windows. We may look at specific areas or entry  as part of doing new development work, but will assess effort and impact on other projects to determine a move forward strategy.

When I change the screen to 125% is does not allow me to read the change order section... I can not believe so many people are having the same issue and PRO CONTRACTOR and PRO WILL NOT CHANGE THIS?????This program would not be recommended to any other contractors.  I have been in construction accounting since 1999 and I have no words but "WOW! I CANT BELIEVE THIS"  This is not customer support........

We all shall start talking about the competitors  and what program is better than Pcmx I am a General contracting in Boston Ma, and I do agree with all of you, we need a software to match our demand 2018 not  1980s design.

Ridiculous.  We have to adjust the resolution for one program that effects ALL OTHER programs on my PC?  Come on folks.  This is not a solution.

Admin,  This is a major mistake.  Not everyone runs on Windows 10.  No only that you made a mistake is saying to another user that using really large screens helps with font size.  It doesn't.  Just saying!!!

I would not recommend Pro Contractor! They use the suggestion box to let us vent our frustration but completely ignore our ideas and needs. They are not concerned about their users!!

Incredible that the "answer" is to make changes in a program that some may not have.  Ok...I have vision issues.  Now what?  It's your program...fix it.

I can not believe with so many having the same issues with seeing the program, it would be a high priority for procontractor to implement this issue.  I had my comopany purchase a bigger monitor with no solution to the issue.  I would not recommend the is software to any others.   This is not customer service in any shape or form..........I am in accounting and this really makes our jobs harder!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are not running windows 10.I suspect there are many others who are not as well. Most modern software programs have the ability to adjust to the users screen resolution. It is hard to understand the lack of concern for the customers that this response demonstrates.

Being an older man, I don't think I've ever used this phrase before but... O M G !

That response is almost laughable when you read all the problems users have reported here concerning this issue. Like I said a year and a half ago about using the Windows tools, "the downsides are 1) it made my Windows [and my other programs] screen fonts too big and 2) within ProContractor many fields became only partially visible."

I could go on but I've come to the conclusion that we probably shouldn't waste our breath. How very irritating.

I will give another example of why this is a big issue.

All of the online Viewpoint website screens use a larger font than PC. This is most likely because it makes sense to have their screens very readable! If you compare to PC, it is night an day with PC just being too small.

I have provided screen shots comparing Procontractor, Sage 100 Contractor, American Contractor, and Quickbooks and it is so obvious that there is an issue with PC. This issue has nothing to do with programming new fields or adding screens, macros, or other functions. This is a basic design issue and as pointed out, there is plenty of room on the existing screens to make this happen.

We are stuck until this is addressed. Please Viewpoint get this done!

    Agreed AGAIN!

This issue is so important that it is now becoming a real health hazard for those of us that find it hard to read the screen.

I am not kidding. The lack of response by Viewpoint on this issue is unbelievable to me.

This issue has to be addressed ASAP and Viewpoint really needs to respond to its user base and let us know this is important and will be addressed.

Every day I open PC, I dread the experience because of the screens. This should not be.

Every other application I have and currently work with do not have this issue.

I don’t know how else to put it. This issue is bad for end users, bad for business, and with Viewpoint not responding to it, it makes me think their priortities are way off base.

    I hope and pray otherwise.

I  would love to know what it takes for enhancements to be done for the accounting software. I was told by an employee that the previous release had a lot of estimating enhancements because that module had been neglected.  In my opinion, the accounting software is what has been neglected.  So far, the only enhancement that has been made that is any good is the cash receipt enhancement.

This is beyond belief that you haven't done something about this.  The font size is so small that after about 1 hour of looking at your monitor you have to walk away and give your eyes a rest.  By the time i leave work for the day my eyes are burning.  You need to do this request IMMEDIATELY!!!!  Most of the screens we enter data into have enough room that you could move things around and therefore enlarge the font.  AGAIN, I REPEAT MY COMMENT, MAYBE WE SHOULD ALL SEND BILLS FOR NEW GLASSES BECAUSE WE ARE GOING BLIND USING THIS SOFTWARE.

Maybe if all of us who use this program and find that we need to get new glasses just to see the screen starting sending Viewpoint the bills for our new glasses, they would actually do something.

I too find it extremely frustrating that you can't get the font size to a point where you don't need to walk away from your computer for a few minutes due to eye strain.  Not to mention that there are many areas in this program where there is a lot of wasted blank screen, so I don't understand why they don't do something.  There are multiple complaints about this, but Viewpoint just doesn't seem to care.

It just a matter of time and the small font issue will turn into a workers comp claim for someone. The small font is ridiculous and I personal feel the folks at Viewpoint, Pro Contractor, could care less.

I think many of us do not want this request to get stuck somewhere!

My eyes are hurting. They are fatigued looking at PC all day. The fonts are too small!

PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE! Give us a date when we can expect a fix. This is not even "planned" yet and we have a large number of votes for this.

I have not talked to one PC user that thinks the screens are fine.

Please save our eyes!!! It is very important!!! It has to be important to Viewpoint as well. Please respond!
