OPEN BATCH location for any batch in need of posting

Right now in order to know if there are any OPEN batches i.e. vendor payments, cash receipt, journal entries - you have to click on each an every Post option per module to find this out.  In AC there was a central OPEN BATCHES area where you could see all at once what was open and waiting to post.  This would be a real time saver for the reviewing person.

Well, it's not perfect since it doesn't look like one can change the name of the added menu item but the way you add "View Administration Setups" to the "Setups & Logs" menu is to right-click the "View Administration Setups" in the "All Tasks\Administration"" menu and select the desired target menu.

Like I said it's not perfect since you still have to choose "Posting Groups" in the "View" field but it saves a few keystrokes.

I cannot figure out how to "add to" those drop down menus you mentioned.  I was going to add the "Active Posting Groups" there for easy access. but cannot figure it out.

I think it should be more like American Contractor where you had the option to post from the screen you are on and not have to close what your in and go to a new "task" to post.

On the home screen along the top bar (the bar with the "Log Out" function on the far right), starting from the left, there is the ProContractor logo, a drop down "Alerts & Tasks" menu, then the drop down "Setups & Logs" menu. This is what mine says but I may have renamed it. I believe it would still be the second one over from the logo.

You are right - it is a hard thing to find.  I have done all you pointed out to do, but cannot find where this "setup&logs tab" is?  Can you help?

There actually is a way to do this but it took me a while to find it. In Administration\ViewAdministrationSetups, choose the Posting Groups View and click on Retrieve and then set the filter for the "Status" field column to "Entries in Progress". I also grouped the grid by "Functional Area" and saved the view as a custom "My Grids" named "Active Posting Groups".  I put a shortcut to this View in the Setup&Logs tab on the top of the window to help me get there quicker.
