Law: The CA Sick Leave Law requires to pay employees for earned sick leave that they begin to accrue at date of hire. However hours can not be used until the employee reaches 90 days of employment. Law also states that hours accrued must be shown on the check beginning day 1 of hire date, even though they are not available for use until the 90 days of employment have been fulfilled.
Problem: Currently ProContractor allows us to setup a probation period of when to begin accrual, but not a probation period of when it can begin to be used. As a ProContractor customer we now need to create a spreadsheet that will track when our employees can use the CA Sick Pay (PTO).
Suggestion: Create another field that will dictate when an employee can use the PTO

It would also be helpful to have a warning come up with employees attempt to use more than the 24 hours allowed by the law per year. For some reason, they can accumulate 48 total, but only use 24. We have to go back and check to see how many hours employees have used before paying any sick pay. This is a total pain.
We are planning to add functionality that would warn during time card entry that sick time is not yet available. Most likely will be triggered by a new field, but do not have final design at this point.
